Low-cost purification of gas streams

We provide zero-carbon solutions for purification of gas streams –biogas, exahaust gases, flare gas as well as natural gas from hydrogen sulphide and other toxic pollutants down to ppb level.


Numerous gas streams are containing toxic pollutants which have to be removed before this gas will be used or purged. For instance, biogas, main alternative to fossil methane, is always contamitaned with hydrogen sulphide (H2S). In the present scheme it is first treated by so-called coarse desulphurization to produce a feedstock suitable for combined heat and power (CHP) plant. This stream could be further purified by adsorption to produce biomethane, ready for injection into a gas grid.

DA technology is more economical alternative to existing solutions. It allows to reduce the content of toxic polutants down to ppb levels in a single step and produces high value by-products instead of waste. The outlet stream of DA unit is substantially free of contaminants and could be used for CHP plants or injected into a gas grid.



Hydrogen production from waste

Our technology allows to produce hydrogen from industrial waste, for instance, sulphur or H2S, with low energy consumption. This is an ideal solution for sustainable development and future mobility applications.


Sulphur is present in numerous refinery streams in the form of hydrogen sulphide (H2S). This is toxic compound which could not be released into atmosphere and has to be treated. Current approach consists in separation of H2S in an amine wash process, followed by oxidation of H2S to water and sulphur in a Claus unit. Formed sulphur is a low-value byproduct or a waste with low to negative value, which is determined by purity and nature of contaminants. 

DA technology enables single-step conversion of H2S and other possible sulphur-containing compounds into hydrogen and high value by-products. Installation of a DA unit could fulfill up to 40% of hydrogen demand in refinery while consuming its waste. Significant advantage of DA solution is carbon neutrality – “blue” hydrogen produced in the process is far cleaner in comparison to classic steam methane reforming.


"Dead" hydrogen recovery

We offer a low energy technology for extraction of dead hydrogen from diluted streams of different origins with a complex composition, e.g. fuel gas after cryogenic, membrane, or PSA separations or gas streams from hydroprocessing.


Major amount of hydrogen is produced in steam methane reformers (SMR). The outlet streams of such units contain hydrogen, carbon oxides (CO and CO2), residual amounts of water and traces of nitrogen. Hydrogen is further extracted and contentrated in pressure swing adsorption (PSA) units. The average efficiency of PSA is approximately 85%, meaning that residual 15% of hydrogen will be lost in tail gas.

Installation of a DA unit would allow to increase hydrogen extraction efficiency to at least 99.5%. The unit has attractive economics and allows to avoid CO2 emissions as it could be powered with renewable electricity. 



Treatment of agricultural waste

Our technology removes toxic pollutants from argicultural liquid waste while co-producting hydrogen. This solution allows to handle polluted liquid streams with strong odour.
